Ruta de los Volcanes, Puebla 

El Mural de Los Poblanos is an emblematic 19th century mansion located in the Historic Center of Puebla, devoted not only to preserve but also to spread out the authentic flavors of the city. The central patio displays a monumental mural by master Antonio Álvarez Morán, who immortalized 60 illustrious locals, as well as a splendid painting depicting the battle of May 5th, also known as Cinco de Mayo, which took place in the hills of the city.

Open as a cantina until 2007, this place was transformed into a colonial-style restaurant with a pleasant and familiar atmosphere. The cuisine has taken in local recipes that have been passed on from generation to generation with high quality ingredients from local producers.

Some of the symbolic dishes in this restaurant are the lamb tacos arabes, authentic cemitas, seasonal escamoles (ant larvae), and the traditional chiles en nogada (poblano chiles in a creamy walnut sauce).

Cinco de Mayo Tasting Menu 

This five course tasting menu and pairing was inspired by the historical passage that celebrates the unexpected Mexican victory over French invaders, paying tribute to ancestral traditions and festivities that honor this land.
