Ruta de la Selva, Oaxaca

There is something to Oaxaca, that is has been worldwide known as an art incubator for young artists and as well as a dreamland for both Mexican and international renown artists that have made of this city home to their creative studios. The city itself is a living art gallery full of color, texture, light and traditions calling for the eyes of the artist to capture them. Art is embedded in Oaxacan families too, and Parador San Miguel is no exception when it was conceived. Today a warm boutique hotel built in a cloister style with exposed wooden beams and long adobe corridors that overlook a serene central patio; this hotel is an open house for the graphic arts, one of the region’s most important artistic manifestations.

Archangel St. Michael and the spirit of Doña Rebeca have inspired much of the art displayed on the walls that has been beautifully intervened by Oaxacan artist Uriel Barragán Cruz also known as Bouler.
