My journey with Tesoro’s Experiences led me to the vibrant state of Guanajuato, a place bursting with culture, flavor, and history. At the Eldimaria Hotel, I was welcomed into the ‘Mining Enchiladas Cooking Class & Cocktail’ experience. Not only did I learn about the rich heritage behind the dish, but I also had the chance to craft it with my own hands, all the while enjoying a signature cocktail that I also prepared paired perfectly to go with the meal.
My culinary exploration didn’t stop there. The ‘Chocolate and Mezcal Pairing’ at Hotel 1850 was an exquisite blend of tradition and taste. Each bite and sip of Mezcal told a story, unraveling the essence of Guanajuato’s culinary heritage curated by an artisanal chocolate maker.
One morning was spent with ‘El Gregario Coffee Barista’ at Quinta Las Acacias. Never before had I realized the artistry behind a simple cup of coffee. Gregario’s passion and knowledge transformed coffee brewing into incredible ways of preparing coffee, leaving me with a newfound appreciation for baristas and the rich coffee culture of Guanajuato and Central Mexico.
Another morning, Hotel 1850 arranged a walking tour of the fantastic city of Guanajuato. The whole historic downtown is a World Heritage Site worth exploring.
